Antioch International Ministries is a network
of churches and ministries committed to the fulfillment of Christ's
great commission of Matthew 28:18-20, "All authority has been given to
me in heaven and earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you to, and
lo I am with you always, even to the end of this age." (NAS)
Following the multi-cultural nature of the church at Antioch, our doors
will be open to receive individuals from all strata of life and from
any cultural background. Hopefully, through love, acceptance and forgiveness,
those coming to us will be brought to wholeness in Christ.
Saints are to be equipped for the work of the
ministry by various ministries including the five-fold ministries
of Ephesians 4:11...apostles, prophets evangelists, pastors, and teachers.
These are available to believers from within their local churches or
ministries as well as from the larger network. Once equipped, saints
are to be thrust out into the world in mission.
Two major characteristics stand out:
STRONG RELATIONSHIPS THAT UNITE
Antioch International Ministries incorporates a fellowship of leadership
and interaction of churches and ministries. Relationships are fostered
through a system of apostolic oversight
and regional presbyteries. Mature
five-fold ministries, properly joined to local churches and accountable
to local pastors are available to minister to local churches and ministries
and to help tie them together. All pastors and ministry leaders participate
on a Leaders' Council for input and accomplishment. Leaders who have
identified with Antioch International Ministries come from different
theological orientations. Commitment is to a common vision and interaction
in fellowship ties them together.
MISSION THRUST
As the Antioch church successfully fulfilled the great commission of
Matthew 28:18-20, so we shall reach out to win and disciple souls through
church planting and other types of ministries at home and abroad. No
church is complete in and of itself. Sending and receiving various persons
from church to church within our nation and abroad teaches us to walk
together in tangible meaningful ways with each joint supplying strength.
